Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is defined as an area?
A. An area is defined as a living room, dining room, office, bedroom etc. Stairs and hallways are also considered rooms. If a room is abnormally large I may charge it as 2 areas, or if a room is abnormally small I may charge it as half an area.
Q. Do I need to have everything off the carpet?
A. NO! I can come in and clean just the traffic areas if you wish. I usually just ask my customers to remove the smaller items from the rooms to be cleaned.
Q. Do you move furniture?
A. Yes, I can move smaller couches, chairs, tables to clean underneath them and slide them back into place. You may leave these items in the rooms if you wish. I place plastic tabs or foam blocks under the feet to protect the carpet. I do not move heavy items like TVs, beds, hutches, or night stands. Please keep in mind I am a one man show and whatever you can do to remove the furniture you would like cleaned under is really helpful :)
Q. How long do we need to stay off the carpet?
A. You don't! You may walk on the carpet anytime but it will be damp. I usually suggest a pair of slippers.
Q. How long before the carpets are dry?
A. My dry times are usually between 6-10 hours. Air flow will really speed up the dry time! If you have any fans I recommend them.
Q. How long will the cleaning take?
A. Depending upon how many areas you'd like cleaned, anywhere from 1-3 hours usually.
